PEST CONTROL OPERATIONS EQF LEVEL 4 / MODULE 10  - APPLY, DIRECT AND MONITOR CONTROL MEASURES FOR SUBTERRANEAN TERMITES

The Apply, Direct & Monitor Control Measures for Subterranean Termites has been developed to enable the pest control operator to become proficient in termite identification and eradication procedures. This qualification has been designed to be used in commercial, industrial and domestic environments where we have to control termites.

Included is a practical assessment and optional 3-day practical session.

The Apply, Direct & Monitor Control Measures for Subterranean Termites module deals with the following elements:

1. Subterranean termite biology

2. Identification of Termites
3. Selection of Pesticides/Chemicals

4. Selection and Calibration of Equipment

5. Safety and precautions and OHASA recommendations

6. Application Techniques

7. Wood Preservation

In order to complete your qualification, you need to complete two modules, the compulsory module and one specialization subject, which will give you a minimum of 145 credits. This is a distance or correspondence course and you will be writing your exams directly on the Internet, when you are ready and feel confident to sit the examination. You are also permitted to write the examination at the Academy’s premises. The practical assessments will also be done every month in Amsterdam and twice yearly in Italy and Spain.

Although this is a distance learning / correspondence course, you have the option of attending a three day course at our Amsterdam training centre on all the elective or specialization courses at no extra charge, if you feel you need more hands on training, which is always recommended.
